I have felt the holy spirit befor while i was singing at my church. And i just want to ask has anybody felt it like me? I know people feel it in different ways. It felt something like electricity going ALL through my body. Another way i can describe it is like you know when u sleep on your hand or foot and it gets numb and when you move it it tinkles? Well it was like THAT. WHen i was singing about Jesus i felt these tinkles and it got stronger and stronger and it was EVERYWHERE in my body and my body started to get numb and i could not move and my hands got stiff and my freind could not move it. Thing about it was that i was not scared and it did not hurt at all. But it was soooo powerful and i was happy. I was disspointed when it went away and i have not felt it since. But i know it cuz i need to start praying and fasting again. Has anybody felt it like that??

I am sorry i felt it twice! The second time is when i got very weak and i thought i was going to die. And i felt the holy spirit and i got peace and i was not afraid anymore. My mom said she was feeling the holy spirit at her job about the same time i did but she did not know why. until she founf out what happened to me. God was telling beforehand that everything would be OK.

You are blessed! People on here will say mean things but ignore them....they have not experienced what you have and they will request a scientific theory and say all kinds of things. Untill they experience anything related to the this....they must see to believe...but their eyes, ears and hearts are closed. I feel sorry for those that cannot relate to this...little do they know how ignorant they really are. Spread the word!

Yes I know exactly what you experienced. I received the Holy Spirit this way back in 1987 when my daughter was just one year old. I took time out to pray and said to the Lord I wouldn't move until I received the Holy Spirit. I waited for a long time and I saw a diamond shaped light from far away which got closer and then exploded in front of my eyes and I felt what you have just felt. It was God's love washing me all the way through. When I mentioned it to other christians they thought I had imagined it. But I didn't I know. Praise God what a blessing for you.

Hey!!
I've experienced the same thing you describe. The Lord seems to touch people in different ways also. On my first 7 day fast the Lord met me, like you described. It felt like my whole body was vibrating, it started moving up my body as I was sitting down, and then my whole body was vibrating.
This only happened to me once (i think)...but I feel the Holy Spirit all of the time in other ways. I feel his presence during times of prayer and worship through out my day. I also feel a physical hand or something like that touching the back (crown) of my head at times...sometimes it feels like oil dripping all over me.
But yeah, I've experienced what you were talking about..its a really awesome thing to have happen to you. A problem I faced awhile ago though, is I would keep looking for physical manifestations like that...and sometimes i would just plain miss God. lol. I find that when Im completely focussed on him and dont just care about feeling him...that when he reveals himself to me powerfully.
Hope that answered your question.
Blessings,
Scott

That is very similar to my experiences when feeling the Holy Spirit. It's like electricity or some sort of "power" and I feel the most intense JOY I have ever felt. Yes and the peace, the comforting peace that comes with it.
It is not like any other feeling I have had before.

Sure was the Holy Spirit! I have felt it also, I've just never been able to describe how intense the feeling is.
1 time I was sitting in church crying, and telling the Lord that I didn't care what happened to me, (whether he gave me a baby or not) I would still love him, no matter what. He put his arms around me and gave me the biggest, warmest HUG I have ever felt in my life, and he said, child do not worry, everything will be alright. Sure enough, I was pregnant, I just didn't realize it yet.
God is such a wonderful God, he loves you, BIG TIME!

Why yes indeed and you have described very well the physical sensations that happen when the Spirit moves you, but you forgot something very important and that is the incredible sense of peace that you also experience, but I am sure this was just an oversight on your part.
Glory and Praise to God.

I have had that feeling, doing the same thing, I think it might be due to the singing, however, who knows. The other incident sounds like a response due to the fact you were near death. However, I do not know, it could be the Holy Spirit.

I think of it as God giving me a hug.
Now imagine feeling that way all the time. That's Heaven, my brother! Do whatever you need to do to get there and, God willing, I'll see you there!
The Lord rocks!!!

It was not a Holy Spirit you felt. If was your medication wearing off.
Didn't your psychiatrist tell you to take it every day?
