I have a friend who has always been there for me, and she cares about me alot. But she has me locked in that "just friends" zone. Anything I can do?

Have you told her how you felt?
Have you thought about what would happen if you guys ended up going out then breaking up?
You can never make someone love you, and if you have told her how you felt and all that and she still doesn't want to try things out with you, you need to respect that.

Welcome to the boat. It sucks. The only possibility is to make her see you in a new way. Like let her see you doing some hobby you do, or working out. Mention specific things about her that other would deem insigificant. Just let her know you care about her a lot, by caring about these little details.
Just know too that every good relationship starts with a friendship. Accept your position. Keep her as a friend, and down the road (I'm talking years here) she'll look for someone she can spend the rest of her life with, and you may or may not be an option.

Umm.... sucks for you dude. I know the feeling but there really is no way out if you confess your love for her things will just get awkward. Either find a new best friend or accept that friendship is the most that you will get out of her.
P.s.
You could try dropping things in right in front of her and seductively bending over and picking them up. (it might work!)

You should really tell her how you really feel. But before for make a list of why it would good to be together in that way. A great friendship is always a good start of a long lasting relationship.

Well i'll tell you one thing. DO NOT TRY TO MAKE HER JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!
i had a good friend who did that once. He didnt live near me, but i talked to him alot.
he had this best friend who waz a gurl, and he liked her alot, and he didnt think she liked him.
well he tried to make her jealous, by going out with another gurl, and she killed herself, cuz she thought she had nothing left to live for.
just tell her how you feel. if she doesn't return your feelings, thats that, but if she does, you'll never know until you ask.

give her time and just be a nice guy and do things for her that she would appreciate. Like paying for her movie, or take her out to lunch
