I have to lead a discussion on evil. The question is: Is man born inherently evil? Any suggestions of questions which i could bring up in the discussion?

It is a person.
"You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. "

Not always man is born with heredity with to do evil things but, Yes there could be hidden some inheritance also but they don't work on their own !It needs some platform and some stimulation's ! First you should know the definition of man ! A man is PRODUCT OF HEREDITY AND ENVIRONMENT ! People are born with some heredity but this heredity of doing evil things is opportunistic !l Some type of madness als runs in the family ! Of course now a day genetic engineering has given a promise to eradicate this genes causing some physical as well mental illness like epilepsy and diabetes or some this type of diseases!Always YouRsmE

Man is born with neutrality. When you are born, you are neither good nor bad, it is the life decisions you make that decide where you fall.

as for what evil is....evil is a man who would rape a child. Evil is a man or woman who would sexually assault anyone in anyway. Evil is coldblooded murder and abuse. Evil has many forms and many methods, but it is something you will not be able to deny when you are faced with it.

I believe that Evil is intentional refusal to follow the moral rules required to call yourself Good. What I'm NOT saying here is that any etablished religion has full understanding of those rules. As for whether we're born evil, I'm afraid I haven't an answer... yet...
