I am also on the same mission as you. I am 5'1 and weight 105lbs only. I am some what underweight but, all my fat goes straight to my love handles which are called "oblique" Just go to yahoo.com and put oblique exercises and try look at the exercise that you can do. I am in training right now and I am starting my 4th week. Need 8 weeks to go. My personal trainer always says its not how many times you work out a week, its what you eat. I've eliminated sugar COMPLETELY and I avoid all fattening food as possible and its help a lot. I still need alot more to go.

Honey, believe me, whilst theyre within the temper, they dont see the affection handles - truly or wannabe ones !! Every male I had been with or have spoken to approximately this marvel what the hell we're on approximately!! The most effective ones with frame photograph problems are females - US !! Yes you pay attention the men say - they're a leg guy, or they wont cross with a higher sized lady - however simply appear round you and you notice the reverse. How repeatedly do you notice a skinny man with a better lady? Heaps !! So quit annoying approximately not anything, and pay attention to the challenge to hand !! Then the intercourse will conquer the whole thing, you permit cross and all inhibitions fall away...and matters shall be suitable!! (Iam forty five and over one hundred forty five lbs, with bumps and curves no longer in the entire proper locations, and hubby should not have me some other method !)

Love handles are fat, the only way to lose fat is cardio and diet. Crunches make the muscles strong but will do nothing to get rid of the love handles. Either stricter diet or more cardio. Sorry

overall weight loss - its obviously area your body likes to store its fat reserves.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

You can't spot reduce so crunches aren't going to do much good. You can lose weight in general, but your body will decide where that weight will come off.

You should know doing crunches and sit up do not remove belly fat. You need a real workout to burn fat.

In the gym they have exercises for you lower back, do that and also take a dumbbell and hold it in the side of you and lift it up and down. I can't explain it but you use you obliques to lift it. Like say you were carrying to grocery bags and bent side to side. But do it with one dumbbell. Also watch the sugar intake.

stand with your feet planted about 3 feet apart
hand on your waist
lean back
concentrate on you abdomen muscles and ben left to right.
lean forward after wards too. it wouldnt hurt to put in more effort for othe muschles.
