When a man says "I love you" while in the middle of sex - does it count? My boyfriend of 5 months said this to me last night during intimacy (I didn't say anything back because I was caught off guard) and I'm not sure what to think... I can't tell. I don't think so though.

He said it twice, actually. Both times as a whisper in my ear. It was in the dark and we were very close to each other.

I'm going to assume it is since you are so unsure about it. Being intimate does give you that sudden rush and emotional connection. He probably does have deep feelings for you. If it's love? Well, only he can tell you that....
If it's something that's really on your mind....then just ask him about it. I'd think you've been together long enough that you can talk about stuff like this.

Im a woman, but don't believe that. Sex and I love you just don't mix. You have only been dating for 5 months!! If he can't tell you without being in the heat of the moment, he's not being truthful!

A man saying this in the heat of passion basically means: "I love what you are doing for me right now, and how good it feels." It does NOT mean what you probably want it to mean: "I totally worship you, and want to marry you, and spend the rest of my life here on earth devoting every minute to you, trying to figure out new ways to make you happy, and then do them."
Men & women are different creatures, with different sexual stratagies; it is a wonderful thing when they can work through these differences, compromise, and find ways to get their mutual needs met, while partnering up with someone who assists them in their endeavor to be fulfilled, loved & respected.

He doesnt know you well enough but probably feels like he does since sex tends to confuse people emotionally.This is why sex before getting to know someone for a yr or so and being willing to commit to them FIRST is always a bad idea.

That was very tricky. Yes and no, he could have been meaning that he loved you for the sex you was giving him at the moment. Or he did mean it. How does he act the rest of the time? Good luck.

What does that mean? You mean "Does he mean it?"
He probably does ... but its in the middle of sex - and
his body chemistry is just as wacked out as yours is.
It certainly doesn't mean that he DOESN'T love you.
However, I'm not sure I'd get all upset about it if
he didn't repeat it for awhile.
Contrary to dime-store novels, love is not a binary
thing. It is a rush of emotions and a general state
and lots of things in between.

When men say "I love you" before sex that means they just want to get into your pants, but during sex is when they are most vulnerable... they are already in your pants so why lie? I am 99% sure he meant it! Hold onto this guy!

he did not have to say it. but what does it really matter you have only been with this guy for 5 months. and who cares if he says "i love u". he needs to show it. a man that beats his gf can say "i love u " one thousand times a day but it is not reflected in his actions. if hes good to you he never has to say those words to you bc u will know

Maybe he felt comfortable saying it to you during sex. Somehow, I doubt it counts. If he says it again to you while you guys are just talking/cuddling, then maybe it counts.

Okay,here's the thing about us guys.If we say something like that during sex,it might be real.But the only way to tell is to wait and see if we say it again afterwards(later).After all,just because you yell out OH MY GOD!!! during sex doe'snt make you religous:)
