Im puerto rican but i look like a white girl, i want to get a tan for people to stop mistaking me for something that i am not. Can someone help please?

If your like some of my friends and you sit out in the sun for hours, and all you do is get burnt. My best advice is to use lotion that you apply daily to give you a healthy tan.
But if you do get tan by laying out in the sun, be careful not to do it a whole bunch. Because it is very harmful to the skin, and can sometimes lead to skin cancer.

There is a product called Xen-Tan that has olive based pigments rather than the orange ones and this should give you a natural looking tan. It is available to buy online

don't worry just speak spanish every so often and you will be recognised..I was always with my italian friends and so I was also mistaken for sisters to them when I am puerto rican..
once I said something in spanish others react..
you speak spanish...and that's when I say that I'm a puerto rican born in NY but I speak spanish, read it and write it....
so as long as you don't forget your spanish heritage...

go to the tanning bed or lay in the sun use spf though you dont want to damage your skin

get a sugar-cane based spray tan... they look great and smell yummy....
