Callate is a derivative of the verb callar pronounced "ky-ar". The verb form means : to shut so callate literally tranlated would mean shut you. Te meaning you. So yeah, Shutup!

"Cierra su boca" is another fun way to conjugate that verb into a sentence that means more literally "Shut your mouth"
