Sweating and heat aren't exactly a bad combination, but do remember to keep it moist and protected. When I got my first tattoo, I put A&D ointment on it to keep the sweat from getting into the tattoo. While that can be a hassle when you're out and about, it's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to an expensive investment like a tattoo. If you plan on having the shirt off, then definitely put some sunscreen on over the tattoo. Good luck!

Sweating and heat won't hurt the tat, but you are only a few days into the healing process.....It will peel if it hasn't started already and it is important to keep it clean and moist, the more often you wash it and put lotion on it the better. It doesn't have to be A and D and some people recommend a basic lotion so there are no agents to get into the skin and remove the ink. Keep it covered and you'll be ok, but I'd keep it out of the direct sun and definitely the salt water for at least 2 or 3 weeks. The most important thing is to clean it regularly to promote shedding of the top layers of skin and of course moisture.

you'll be fine as long as you keep it covered when you're outside but be sure to keep it covered all the time when you are outside. not just when it's new. the only way to keep your tattoo looking great is to keep it out of the sun!

As long as you cover it with a shirt, it should be okay. Just don't expose it to the sun! As for perspiration, I was told that was okay, as long as you clean it well afterwards.
