"Professional Atheists"?
What planet do you live on?
Anyway, 82.75% of statistics are made up on the spur of the moment.
UPDATE: if the thing about this person being a pilot is true, then next time I leave the country ... I'm walking!

Not that I can follow what you're saying very well, but...
What do you mean "militant" atheists believe in God more then theists? Talking about God doesn't mean believing in God. As for "practical" atheists, when did you become the top dog in deciding what a "true" atheist is? What do you mean they don't believe God exists, but their belief in God leads to hating Him?
I might as well forget about trying to figure out this "question" which seems to be all over the place and can't come to a conclusion.

Get this through your thick skull.I do not hate what i do not believe exists.I don't care what you believe,as long as your belief does not infringe on my right to live my life as i see fit. However, far too many Christians are not satisfied with quietly following their beliefs. They insist on projecting their narrow views on the rest of us,and hijacking the legal system to force us into following their rules. The day that They started bombing clinics, assassinating doctors, protesting at the funerals of servicemen ,forcing pseudo-science into class rooms and passing laws mandating their vague notion of morality is the day when no reasonable person can stand by and let it be.And you want to call this militant? YOU say WE hate god?NO you flaming idiot,we hate what you jerks are trying to do to us and the country we all share.

I'm an activist atheist. I reject the term 'militant' atheist, though you'd probably consider me one.
I do not hate 'God', just as you do not hate Zeus, or Ra, or Odin. Hate does not apply to fictional beings.
You might say that I 'hate' organized religion, though I think 'hate' is again the wrong word -- 'abhor' is a better choice. I am convinced that organized religion harms societies far more than it helps them.

talking as a Christian — the overpowering majority of the atheists i understand do not "hate" God. they only don't have self assurance in a ultimate Being. there's a extensive distinction between "hating" God and not believing in a ultimate Being. Now, lots of them have come to hate fundagelical Christians for the incredibly judgmental, condescending, and many times times quite hateful techniques that fundagelical Christians manage atheists — and having seen a number of those fundagelicals in action against my atheistic acquaintances, i will not be able to assert I blame the atheists one bit!

Wow. That was perhaps one of the most utterly self-deluded diatribes I've ever read. NO atheists 'attack god', whether they're 'militant' or not. They instead attack the BELIEF in god. How could you possibly have attained some form of rational adulthood and not realized that simple idea? You just illustrated religious naivete and ignorance better than any atheist it has ever been my pleasure to know.

Every word is right on the money . I have always said that these atheists don't just not believe there is God, but actually don't WANT there to be a God. There is a distinction between the two. Satan when he was tempting Christ in the desert tried to do so by twisting ( misquoting) scripture. These particular and many atheist do the same thing. I know for a fact that any number of them know the Father exists but they don't care. They hate Him . But they seem to hate Christ even worse. That's OK , their time is short. But you watch Mike, when Satan comes for 5 months claiming he is Christ / God , they will be the first ones to jump in bed with the a$$ hole. Do you want to bet money , I can cover them.

You are a theist because you hate the fact that there is no god. It doesn't work in the other direction, sorry. You (and we) can't hate something that doesn't exist. Hate Santa Claus, do you?

Utterly asinine. You've made some very bold statements and backed them up with absolutely nothing. Your rant is based on a child's logic.
