A lot of you decided the word 'faith' justified your answer for some reason or another.

God already had plenty of people with faith in him at the time.

For him to send his son to earth, and perform miracles to prove his existence - he went to decided, extra effort.

If he was going to go to extra effort, why did he do it in such a half-assed way?

Clearly he didn't go about it in a whole-assed way, because if he had (being God) he would have succeeded - and no-one would have ever doubted God again.

Since we're here having this debate, clearly it didn't work.

Yes, supposedly he sent a sign. That feeble attempt at reconciliation with God failed. What hope do we have when the so called Creator of the Universe fails so miserably.
Sin is still with us and chaos abounds. It is going to take something more to prove God' existence undeniably, previous attempts have not been sufficient. It is obvious to most folk that it did not work, what now.

The death on the cross was not "half" anything. It was completed.
Whether or not you believe is up to you. It's called free will. God doesn't want to force anyone to do anything (especially believe in him) if they don't want to.
