I want something crazy like a pug/german shephard no matter how funny looking it was, that would be awesome.

Im also being completely serious. I love german shephards but in an apartment a smaller dog would be better.

The breeds were just random examples. Those are my favorite breeds as well. Sorry to offend anyone or lead anyone to believe Im some kind of a$$hole.

If you want an appartent size German Shepherd resurch the Shipperkee.... No point re-inventing the wheel.
AI is frequently used when the perfect mate for Jersy girl is California boy, when Mr puple heart can not leave his genes behind without medical assistance (injuries are not heritatary), when a careful owner fears injury in the mating. When frozen semen is stored to allow a dog to leave his legacy years after his death. But personally I very much question this use - or that you would be pleased with the result....

Yes they can be artificially inseminated but your reasoning for this is somewhat immature and you are the reason their are so many people breeding without a purpose. Do you even know anything about either of these breeds? What about any consequences that could come from breeding the two? All dogs were cross bred at one time or another, but it was done to serve the needs of the human, not because "ohh, that would be awesome". You are disgrace. Get a cat.
If you want a mix breed there are several mixes. and probably some suitable for apartment life, at your local shelter.

If anyone really wanted to do a mix like this, they would probably need to use a semen extender for the AI. Yes, dog's can be AI'd. Why would you want to mix breeds like this? That is just insane!

Added: Some lines of Shepherds are not real large. I have a girl that is 55 pounds and barely 22 inches tall at 2 years.

yes they can, and the puppy would come out around the size of the mother. I dont think your an A hole, and you have every right to determine for yourself what you want. It is called freedom which my husband has fought in Iraq for. I prefer the pure breed dog, but the pure breed was mixed with something else to perform to a standard that someone needed long ago. People should not forget this.
