when you take the driving test the first thing they check is that your cars light directionals and everything works properly then they ask u if you know how to signal with your hand then they just tell u where to drive they dont make you parallel park or go on the freeway and make sure you look over your shoulder to check ur blind spot. when making a right turn always turn to the first lane and not the one on the left or its an automatic fail thats basically it

Anything you need to know should be in a booklet you get from department of motor vehicle. Most of what they have you do is basic driving skills; backing up, parking, speed limits, changing lanes etc. Before leaving to take your test, they will check your car to make sure everything works and will watch to see if you put on seat belt and check mirrors. Good luck and just get plenty of driving practice in on driving and parking before the big day.

They just instruct you on the driver's couse. Before they enter the car, they say things like, left blinker, horn, brakes.. etc.. then they just instruct you to turn left, stop here, back up, etc... Just relax and go with it.
I am not sure if it is the same in all states.. but here in SC.. it's farely simple. 3 point turn, maintain lawful residentual speed which is 35mph.. paraell parking. Parking on a hill, turn wheels toward curb. For best results, go to your local DMV and request a driver's manual, it has the whole low down. Good Luck!

Well, in California, it's mostly the instructor just telling you to do various things that demonstrate you have the skills to do them. Turn right there, back up in a straight line, make a u-turn, etc. They're making sure you signal, stop where you should, look for traffic, check your mirrors, etc. as well as being able to actually make the car go where you should.

During the driving part they dont really talk to you at all, just watch. The main reason my friends have failed the driving part is going over 5 mph over the speed limit, not coming to complete stops, and not checking mirrors/over shoulder often enough. Just practice driving, read the book and youll be fine.
