The truth be known I was watching a movie in history class about the Middele East . It gave the answer but the audio was somewhat hard to understand.

Sure there is, I want to be buried close to what I feel close to. There are people that have very close religious ties to the "holy land". They want to go to their eternal rest there. Does it matter in the big scheme of things? No

No, being buried in Jerusalem is of no importance, especially since it's something one has no control over. What matters is whether one has lived a life pleasing to God or not.
