i'm a professional fireman. i love my job... i make a difference, get plenty of time off and have learned to live with not getting paid what i'm worth. my parents are probably a little disappointed with my choice because i do have a great education from a private university, but... finding what you love in life is hard. and i know that not every one can say that they love what they do. good luck!

I love my job and career. I work in a front office position for an Hematologist/Oncologist. I changed careers after 20+ years as an accountant. Now I feel like I am really making a difference in people's lives.

I work as a cytoscreener and it's generally interesting. Next year will be ten years working at my current workplace and I intend to be in a much better personal position as far as career goes. I will be full time in my two businesses in the latter part of next year (2008) so my current job will be in my past.

I love what I do, but not doing it for my particular employers. Am looking to stay in my field but for a different company. 4 very different company owners all want my position as client care coordinator to focus on different areas. And still take care of office administration that is no longer my job- but they haven't been able to keep anyone in that position long enough to learn it. While I am trying to view it as a challenge, it is creating a very ineffective work environment!
Plus a salary issue that I have mentioned in a previous question just is making it a very uncomfortable place to be.
