Every once in a while, my blood sugar gets really low and I start feeling weak or sick. I've actually fainted 3 times from low blood sugar in my life. It was always when I got hungry but couldn't eat for whatever reason. Anyway, I want to lose 5 pounds, but sometimes when I get hungry, my blood sugar falls and I end up on a binge. What are foods that will get my blood sugar back up quickly without too many calories?

Have a glass of orange juice, and then follow it within 20 min with a sandwich of protein. The carbs/protein mix will help keep your blood sugar level till your next meal. Have you ben tested for hypglycemia? Or diabetes? Take care.i

If your sugar gets really low you could drink some orange juice with at least one teaspoon of sugar in it. In the hospital that's what they do. Sometimes they use two teaspoons of sugar. Depending how low it gets. I think there is 10 calories in 1 tsp. of sugar.
Take care.

I would suggest carrot sticks with low fat ranch dressing, or celery with a small amount of peanut butter. You have to watch the pb as the calories can add up. Mini rice cakes are another suggestion. Beware of some fruits, they have high amounts of fructose which is just another name for sugar.

Id have to say fruits because believe it or not sugar actually packs on alot more fat than some other contents, saturated fat, trans, fat and sugar are the worst (sodium goes with sugar)
