What's the plan after we fly the white flag?

Do we trade land for peace? Should we give the eastern seaboard to Al Queda? Perhaps the left coast?

Maybe this could be a good thing!

What's YOUR plan? What would Hillary do? What would the clean muslim black liberal candidate do?

Please no communist slogans or Bush bashing. Tell me what the plan should be following our surrender.

Should we all become muslims and pass out Burkas and Korans?

Should we legislate Sharia law? Kick all the girls out of school? Burn all hog farms?

What?

Another meaningless reality-dodge from Pilgrim! "It was wrong to go into Iraq - those who say so obviously believe we should hand the Presidency to Bin Laden" isn't even a straw man argument - it might be called a dust man, so flimsy it won't even bear construction.

Let's put it this way: it was wrong to wage a pointless war against Viet Nam. Did anyone ever say, "What we must do is roll over and give everything to the Viet Cong"? No.

The people without a plan are those who proposed, supported and prosecuted the war in Iraq, which at some level must include the asker. Everyone else's plan is, "Spare any more pointless deaths".

Get a plan yourself. There aren't that many of you left so you should be able to thrash something out and clear up this mess.

I think American Women would look good in Burkas. We could rename the Dixie Chicks "The Burka Babes". I am tired of all the feminism anyway. This way we can keep them off the streets and out of cars. Got a mean chick for a boss? Not no more. Barefoot and pregnant with 3 other of hubby's wives. Muslims are allowed up to 4 wives. They are also pro-gun and ultra conservative. Hey I think we got one of the Taliban running for President this year, Mormon Mitt Romney. Gas will be back down to $1.00 per gallon, crime will be very low because with Sharia Law in effect all the gang bangers will get their heads chopped off on the spot. Life would be good. We could even go to the Black Muslim Hall of Fame.

Your ideas are inviable and would most likely do more harm than good. Withdraw must be done incrementally.. The Iraqis are ready- they have their own police and troops now, and a democratic government with a democratic constitution. It's time to get out! The troops are causing more than half of the problems out there anyways.

Al Queda was NEVER in Iraq until after the invasion, you moron- if there was one thing Saddam hated it was terrorists, and Bin Laden! He had an effective way of dealing with them- punish the families, lock them all up for life. Cruel, but was the country in chaos back then!? NO! The invasion caused so much instability and hatred that it turned the country into a breeding ground for terror.

As as for the Bush slander- F**K HIM! It's all him and his evil agendas fault and they are the reason why so many children (and our troops) died for nothing but money, oil and 'strategic positioning'. It makes me not want to pay taxes because they are used in such a destructive, evil way!

WHoever told you that anyone wants to force the U.S. to become Muslim has been lying to you.

We invaded a country that didn't attack or threaten us.

If we leave, that doesn't mean that country takes over this country, it just means we leave.

Al Qaeda is a very small player in Iraq. Whoever told you other wise has been lying to you, or don't know what they're talking about.

Most of those fighting us are Iraqi Nationalists, that is, they oppose being occupied by an invading country, and want the invaders to go away.

This is how most people feel when another country invades their home -- they want to get rid of the invaders.

So all of the nonsense that people have been telling you about Muslims taking over America are all lies.

I cannot answer the question in a Christian manner.

I would get all emotional, start screaming and yellin', cursing, and foaming at the mouth.

Since this is A Christian section ( OK "religious" ) to act in such a manner is not becoming of a rational person.

I refuse to answer as most would disagree, not understand, or turn a deaf ear.

Although this IS an answer it is one that has not delivered my true opinion which might be seen as gross and hateful.

regretfully,

dave

you're saying: "it truly is approximately international domination, Iraq is fullyyt a skirmish in a much broader scope conflict no person desires to confess." Do you mean like the Crusades? Or are you thinking of Matthew 28:18-20 - "pass ye hence, and instruct all countries, baptizing them interior the call of the daddy, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."?

I agree that invading Iraq was the worst mistake the U.S. has ever made. However, we did invade, we totally destroyed their infrastructure, and allowed entry to terrorists that had never had access before.

We did all that and it can't be undone. It would be a travesty to leave the Iraqis with the mess we've created. We must do everything possible to restore some semblance of order there BEFORE withdrawing.

Our screw up was at that point where we could have said we won, had everyone buy it, an left. We should have done it.

I honestly don't know what to do now. I think that it would be such a bad message to leave that we can't. But we aren't going to accomplish a damn thing by staying.

Attack Iran??? That might give us a good do over.

I totally agree we shouldn't have gotten into it.
But we did. And now, it is too late. As someone mentioned earlier, we are up against a vicious, merciless enemy who is bent on world domination. (I think that was you...)
At this point, surrender is not an option. We can't afford another Viet Nam scandal. We have no choice now but a decisive victory.
Otherwise, the scenario you are painting for us could very well be our future....
