Well first, you need to take grammar and spelling. That is part of Language Arts/English. Then you also need math. Other "core" classes are science and history/geography.

If you're in high school, there are additional courses you should take. The necessary classes will depend on your state HS'ing laws.

Fun classes could be foreign language, art, music, drama, or anything else that interests you. There are many options for online classes, and if you're old enough, you could take courses at a community college.

For P.E. you can take classes at the local fitness club or YMCA. For *all* classes you could join a local homeschool co-op. Ours has 22 classes for ages PreK-High School. Some are academic, some supplemental, and some just for fun.

The classes to take will depend of the grade you will be. My daughter is homeschooling since the seven grade and she is now in the 9th grade. To begin just go to the School board web site of your locality and you can download the curriculum for your corresponding grade. In it you will find all the classes you are suppose to take accordingly to the grade. You will be able to use any resources you can get your hands into to learn the required material specify in the curriculum. Another great alternative, that my daughter is using right now is enrolling in the ILC from TVO, the address is www.ilc.org, they provide all the materials for your home schooling, which are excellent, you have access to teachers who will answer your questions by mail, e-mail, fax, phone, you name it. The cost is reasonable ($40 per course for high-school and if it is elementary I think is $40 for year). For gym and fun you can use the community centre from your area and the local library. By the way now with the changes in tax law, some good courses to do you prefer may be tax deductible, how about dancing classes (salsa, hip hop, or whatever) swimming, baseball, soccer or any sport where you can run a little sweat will help. Other resources could be your church youth group for socializing. The resources are end less. Good luck

To find out what classes you should be taking, search out the cirriculumn for that grade online. Fun classes should be your own choice, depending on your interests. Gym can either be augmented by exercise centers, the local Y, getting out and running/soccer/basketball/baseball with friends, yourself or a community sports group. Or you can choose to take some courses at your old school, like gym, music and art, while still being homeschooled.
