Are there any Christian Jews out there? I am very interested in this whole idea. I don't have a "religion" but I am a New Testament Born Again Christian. I have always thought I would like to have a religion. Being Jewish sounds good to me. Jesus was a Jew. If it is good enough for Him it is good enough for me! How do you do it - I mean - become a Christian Jew.

sorry, but if you want to be a christian then you can't be a jew. it's either/or. no rabbi would convert a person who believed in a different god than us, and the only way to become a jew to is to be converted by a valid rabbi. you could always try pretending not to believe in jesus (some people actually do this) until your conversion has completed, but you'd basically have to live your life in secret from then on because the moment anybody caught wind that you believe that jesus is a god, they would simply retroactively annul your conversion and make it as if it never happened. and if that happened you would probably lose any jewish friends that you had made, because people would consider you dishonest.

If you believe in JC as a god, you can't be Jewish. There just is no way. No rabbi will convert you and there is no reason for you to. Our religion isn't something you'd just "like" to do.
"Becoming Jewish means that most of what you were taught about spirituality until now will be irrelevant, and in many cases wrong. You must drop the religious beliefs taught you by whatever other religion(s) you once followed or read about. People sometimes ask me, "Can I convert to Judaism and still believe in Jesus?" The answer is no. This is not something negotiable in Judaism. Jewish doctrine about G-d is core and inviolate. Non-Jewish beliefs about G-d invalidate a conversion (and Jesus is a prime example of a non-Jewish belief about G-d, no matter what anyone tells you). So this could be a major change for anyone contemplating conversion to Judaism. If this is difficult for you, then you should not be considering conversion at all."
Also, there is no such thing as a Xtian Jew. There simply isn't--anyone who tells you otherwise knows nothing about Judaism. There is nothing wrong with being a Xtian. The reason you are a Xtian is because you believe in JC. He was Jewish because he didn't believe in himself as a god--obviously, times have changed. The best way to be true to your beliefs is to stay exactly where you are religiously. JC understood that one cannot worship another man and still be Jewish, that is why he remained a Jew his entire life and did not claim to be a god.

your already a christian jew since you believe in jesus.
When Christianity began in the firt decade they only believed jesus was a messiah not yet a god. They were still just considered a radical denomination of Judaism. Christian Jews. When Christians began praying to Jesus as god is when the christain denomination had a complete break from the rest of the jewish people. They became their own religion with their own denominations.
Definition of a jew is they worship 1 god and believe the messiah has yet to come and their holy book is the torah
christians believe that the messiah was jesus and should be prayed to along with the creator and their holy book is the New Testament attached to the torah--the bible
Which do you belong?

The term Christian Jews has at least a threefold meaning. Jews in the days of antiquity who followed Christ were in fact Christian Jews.
The contemporary meaning refers to those who are ethnically Jews who have joined mainstream Christian group.
Then there is Messianic Judaism which is a collaboration of Jews and Gentiles and are accepted by neither Jews or Christians.

There is no such thing !!!
The word Jew refers to a religion and a race. A Christian Jew is someone who is Jewish by race and Christian by religion. You can't become Jewish by race unless you were born that way. You also can't be Jewish by faith if you are Christian by faith.

Christianity and Judaism are pretty far apart, especially the Born Again varieties.
Don't try to become a Jew.
Unless you're willing to give up your belief in Jesus as personal savior and messiah.
Anyone who tells you that you can have both is confused.

A messianic Jew is a Jew that believes that Jesus is the Messiah. Christians and Messianic Jews consider that Jesus is the Messiah. They are Jews. The factor of view of the anti Messianice Jews is great summed up via Mark JPAS while he stated "it's appropriate to mixture a few measure of overseas religious factors with Judaism. The one exception is Christianity, that's appeared to be incompatible with any type of Jewishness. This is the double common that's implemented to Christianity despite the fact that Jesus is regarded the Jewish Messiah in Christianity. Messianic Jews are checked out with even better disdain. Why? its a canopy for there possess deviations from Judaism. Some Jews have got to keep a connection to Jewish loved ones on account that they've deviated such a lot from conventional Judaism that many Orthodox query their Jewishness. They want discover a few approach to distract awareness on account that of there deviation from the Torah. This is completed via pointing their finger at others to direct awareness clear of their possess movements. You can not provide your self a identify and anticipate that it makes you anything. This is the argument that has been used in opposition to Jews that come to a decision that Jesus is the Messiah. We are instructed that the mere perception of a further nature of God instantly invalidated a Jews Jewishness. At the identical time Jews that emerge as atheists, pantheists or quit training any detail in their faith we're instructed are nonetheless Jews. They say that you'll consider in some thing however Jesus. Jews name conversion "becoming a member of the tribe". Things that might not ever fly in Orthodox or for that subject Messianic Judaism will also be observed within the Reform and Reconstructionist pursuits. A well illustration of this can be a prior query requested right here. The character asking worshiped the God Ferris however didn't consider in him or the Jewish God. The attention of the query was once" ...might you PERSONALLY suppose comfy welcoming me now not simply as a fellow congregant at your Synagogue, however as a member of the Tribe?" (so he was once naturally asking approximately changing to Judaism). The reaction was once "Reform Judaism covers a vast swath of ideals and practices and I am definite you'll be absolutely authorized. ... I in my view might take delivery of you entire heartily as a fellow Jew." So a few Jews will take delivery of a wide variety of deviations from the Torah however now not perception in "Jesus". Let's now not fail to remember the Reform motion desired to difference the sabbath to Sunday to be extra like Christianity. Most Messianic Jews are Torah observant but you'll emerge as an atheist, quit training their religion, emerge as a Buddhist, become a member of a Unitarian Church and nonetheless be a Jew within the eyes of Reform/Reconstructionist Jews. Most Orthodox while requested approximately different Jews will say they do not know what non Orthodox Jews are. The identical applies to the opposite sects. Speaking of sects Jews will inform you there aren't any sects however its now not precise. Rabbinical Jews comply with an know-how in their religion that was once situated one million,900 years in the past. They have their possess canon of Scripture. There also are non Rabbinical Jews such because the Ethiopian Jews that follows the sample of the Christian Old Testament and they've many extra books that they bear in mind to be scripture. A institution known as the Karaites is the reverse of the Ethiopian and simplest consider within the five Books of Moses. Rabbinical Jews name Karaites "a sect of Judaism". You can goggle it and notice for your self. Don't permit any one inform you that there aren't any sects in Judaism. They say the the lessons of Jesus are very exceptional from Judaism. They additionally declare that Jesus taught not anything new from the rabbis earlier than him. Then they we inform you that there have been no rabbis till 100 years after the time of Jesus. Its all approximately successful the argument to them now not approximately what is precise. The main issue isn't variations however similarities. You must recognize ALL the writers of the Christian Bible had been Jews however one. Much of our Scriptures are shared. The gigantic majority of early believers in Jesus had been Jews. So whilst you listen the designated reverse you have got to preserve that during brain. A Jew can consider in Jesus and nonetheless be a Jew. Edit: those who make private accusations must comprise hyperlinks or close up.
