The fastest and safest way to get it off is to have your doctor freeze it off...I wouldn't say it is completely painless, but it is just a split second of freezer burn. The next best (fastest) method might be those home application freezing kits...I have never tried those however.

Can warts be safely removed without seeing a dermatologist?

Answer:

Over-the-counter (OTC) medications containing salicylic acid are often effective in removing warts. Keeping a wart loosely covered with duct tape for many weeks may also help it to disappear. However, any wart that does not respond to OTC treatments should be examined by a dermatologist.

My brother had a total of 42 warts on his fingers at one point. I had 12 on my fingers. This sounds crazy, but warts are a virus. You have to let them run their course. In one week every single one of my brothers disappeared without treatment.

mine did the same thing over a period of 3 days. all gone....havent returned yet and this was 2 years ago!!!

THINK OF IT THIS WAY: COLDS ARE VIRUSES AS WELL. THERE IS NO "CURE" FOR THE COMMON COLD BUT YOU CAN TAKE MEDICATIONS TO HELP EASE THE SYMPTOMS AND TO MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER UNTIL THE VIRUS RUNS ITS COURSE.

USING A WART REMOVER IS THE SAME AS TAKING COLD MEDICINE (MINUS THE WOOZY EFFECT!) I TRIED "WARTNER" BEFORE, YOU HAD TO APPLY IT EVERY FEW DAYS...AND IT DID EVENTUALLY REMOVE THE WART FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS....BUT THEN IT GREW BACK.

SO LIKE I SAID, TRY SOME MEDICINES AND SEE WHAT YOU LIKE: WARTNER, FREEZE OFF, DR. SCHOLLS WART REMOVING PADS, DUCT TAPE AND BANDAIDS.....BEEN THERE, DONE THAT. THE ONLY THING THAT ACTUALLY WORKED WAS LEAVING IT ALONE AND LETTING IT RUN ITS COURSE.

There are many over the counter things you can purchase. Freeze away. If all else fails, duct tape I hear works wonders.
