Best I can tell humans haven't changed much in the last seven thousand years, in ways we're still savages.

Has there ever been a world that one could say was anything like heaven? Do you see any chance of it in the near future?

If it's our destiny in the bible and I'd like to think everyone would like to live in a utopia, why not try?

No! We don't suppose it.

Depnding on your relgion you may be required to create heaven on earth. But as far as christianity is concerned you are waiting for Christ to return to bring a new heaven an a new earth.
The bible teaches every manis a sinner and is depraved apart from God. Sinners by definition sin and heaven by definition contains no sin. So you have something confused.

I don't know where you got that impression. The world will continue to get worse until Jesus returns and becomes King of kings and Lord of lords.

There have been times in our history that Christians have been sucked into a situation that in turn tarnished their reputation, i.e. The Crusades.

By and large, the field of medicine has been enhanced by Christian scientists and physicians.
Many of the most popular colleges were started by Christians.
Many hospitals were started by Christians.

I think the world is far better off because of the contribution of Christians than it would have been if there never were any Christians.

Heaven and earth come together on the altar, at every Catholic Mass, when Jesus becomes truly present for us there.

Apocalpytian Christians have given up; they now expect a reward for (deliberately or negligently) helping to make the world the nightmare it seems like today.

There have been changes over the past tens of thousands of years; but we still have work ahead of us.

Do you have love in your life? God is Love, unconditional Love. Love on earth is Heaven, if we are judged by what is in our hearts, love as much as you can. Heaven on Earth is God, Humans have changed some for better some for worst, but God never changes. I have my heaven and I will gladly share it with you and anyone that is willing to hear the word of God. What is the sweetest word, and name you know? JESUS.
