I did have unopened food under my register&when confronted about it I told the store manager i was going to purchase it after my shift.I had not opened the container nor eaten anything. He told me to put it back&I gave it back to the assistant manager who was stocking the food at the time.He put it aside for the moment because he had already fille d the spot.About 30 minutes later the store manager comes sneaking up on me&shows me an open container of the food and told me"you opened this and obviously ate some.Look there's some missing."I explained to him that I had not opened it nor eaten any.It has occured before that I'd bought food that ended up not properly being sealed by the factory&I explained that this may have been what happened& y the container of food was open but I didnt open it.He said "your lying&I must let you go for now" when were about 1/2 way to the back office he told me "your now terminated!"I tried to fight it on the counselling form&to the district manager. No luck

So, after 3 1/2 years of working for these clowns part time, you were falsely accused and terminated just on suspicion?

What kind of axses were you working for? You may not believe this right now, but they may have done you a very big favor. This way you will look for something much better, otherwise, who knows how long you may have been "stuck" there.

That's a crap job anyway. Get a job at Walmart or Meijer or a grocery store. It's got to be better than that.

If you have an otherwise clean record at that place, I wouldn't be afraid of telling the truth of what happened to a new employer.

Good Luck

Did you fight back?? you should explain them reality when you havent done wrong, coz its a very big thing for a individual. Go online and do job search in your area, Is there any one at last job who can give you good reference?? one more thing you can do, when you go for interview dont tell them that you got terminated, say something like personal reason or something. make sure some-one can give you good reference from last place.

or just go for any other even part time job and with that keep doing job hunting for full time

all the best

They could have reviewed the tapes on the camera. These people had IT in for you . Do not be ashamed and do not feel rejected. They simply closed one door for you so you can open another, better door.

Do advise these unfortunate bossed that their accusation can not be repeated to a potential employer that would be slander. Keep your head up!!!

Since your termination was 'wrongful' you can apply for unemployment insurance. Go to your state website and check under department of labor - you should be able to apply right online. Your previous employer may contest it, but then you can appeal, and if you are cleared, you can collect benefits, PLUS you can state that the termination was deemed wrongful by the department of labor.
