Jesus didn`t just celebrate the passover He brought it to it`s conclusion and instituted the Holy Eucharist in it`s place and this is why we celebrate this in the Catholic church.

The passover was instituted in Exodus in which all the firstborn of each Jewish family were saved by the blood of the lamb. It pointed to the Messiah.
Well, Hello, the Messiah has come and we no longer need an event that points to the coming of the Messiah.
However there are some Christian churches that celebrate the Seder and they point out the comparisons to the Messiah in the Seder.
The four spring feast days of the seven Jewish feast days have already been fulfilled, and only three fall feast days are left to be fulfilled.

Actually, the Passover feast was the following evening.
Jesus was actually celebrating a little known but very important ritual...that is The Fast of the Firstborn.
Note that Jesus, Who is the Firstborn, and Who was also about to die and become the Passover for Christians, had only unleavened bread and wine at this solemn occasion.
It was a Fast, not a Feast.....

Early Christians did observe not the eating of the Lamb, but the remembrance of Jesus' death on Nisan 14, the date of his death. The remembrance is even referred to as "our passover" at 1 Cor. 5:7, 8. The Roman Catholic church changed this and took the name of a pagan goddess (Easter) for his resurrection and stopped the practice. (The remembrance on the anniversary of Jesus' death is the only holiday taught in the Bible and the only one my faith has).
Jesus told who was responsible for all the Christian sects that would come up. Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43. The Bible commands Christians to teach all exactly alike and not to be making up their own things. 1 Cor. 1:10, Eph. 4:4-6, 1 Thess. 5:21.....religions long since left the Bible and most popular stuff is pagan, from Wiccan/pagan religions not the Bible.

At that time Jesus told the disciples to break bread and have the wine often in memory of him. Christians taking communion are doing just that. However, the Passover was given to Israel. It was not given to the Gentiles, nor many other traditions. The disciples discussed this same topic and decided mainly that the only ordinances that should be laid on the Gentiles is that they should abstain from blood.

The Catholic Mass is the perfect sacrifice of the Last Supper, the perfect sacrifice of Calvary, and the eternal fulfillment of the Jewish Passover, all in one.
Jesus is our Passover, and we Catholics celebrate it and him, all over the world, 24/7, 365 days per year, until he comes again.

He was Jewish, we aren't. Besides He taught mainly by parables not actions and deeds. His performance of miracles, healing the sick and raising the dead are not something we can emulate.

Because Passover is about G-d bringing the JEWS out of slavery in Egypt. Not being Jewish, I don't see how Chrstians could celebrate G-d bringing the Jews out of Egypt. He celebrated it because he was a Jew. Chrsitans do not celebrate it because they are not Jews.
