The bible appears to be a book about our lifetimes as humans.
We have killed each other in all possible ways with science killing two billion in the last century alone so don't say religion done it.

But it also says we are better than that, we just have to have faith in ourselves.

Does the bible offer a alternate ending, basically one saying what would happen if we were to wise up as a human race?

Revelation is what is going to happen at the end of the world.

It's God's will so it will happen.

Why not? God in the old testament was very angry, committing genocide and playing with people's love. The new testament brings a different god, the god of love in a way. Now we don't stone people to death or sacrifice animals. If we stop trying to kill ourselves off perhaps God will change s/he/it's mind.
It all appears to fit the definition of self-fulfilling prophesy. It's looks self-inflicted. Hell is a sate of mind in my reality.

According to people who believe in literal translation of the bible, revelations is already written and will happen. Face it, were scumbags and it's going to happen.

first of all the term apocolypse comes from the word apocolyptic which is a style of writing. it also was a direct attack on the emperor Nero, ( or Caligula) 666 translates to his name in the greek alphabet. it literally is the world's first op ed piece.

Hmm... alternate ending... I should write a book like that.

I'll call it 'Genesis 2: Return to Eden'
