Gunsmoke had more characters and locations, with people showing up for logical reasons and Marshal Dillon traveling as part of his duties. Plus, if someone fell in love, like Miss Kitty or Matt, the love interest didn't die as regularly as they did on Bonanza.
I don't know if I would like a motion picture since they didn't do well making the Lone Ranger and Maverick into movies.

I liked Gunsmoke better, but Bonanza would make a better big time motion picture.

Bonanza is the best. Gotta love Adam and Little Joe. I like it because its the way things used to be. I could see Bonanza as a motion picture.

Bonanze was the better show. Gotta love the Cartwrights. Not to say Gunsmoke wasn't good.
Don't think they should be turned into big time motion picture. Don't think it would work.

Liked both, agree with the comment that "Gunsmoke" was more realistic. However, I would choose "Bonanza".

Bonanza was better, it had more action.
And no they shouldn't become "Motion Pictures".

Hands down...Bonanza. drama, humor, romance, and the ever lovable Hoss. What more could anyone want? Don't think they should become major movies, but probably will eventually.
