What do you feel it the most difficult thing about your faith or most challenging to follow?

The most difficult teaching to follow, for me, is the ban on birth control. I feel that the Church is tragically wrong on this point. It defies logic, and defies all serious scientific research on the perils of overpopulation. Also, I'm tired of being falsely labled a homophobic, misogynistic creep just because I happen to be a Christian, and I especially take exception to people who think that all Christians are Fundamentalists.

"What is the greatest opposition you have faced regarding your faith?" - My questioning the motives of humans in charge. Lack of trusting leadership. Always wondering when this person or that one will be caught doing something wrong. I miss when people in leadership positions were honest and cared for others.
"What do you feel it the most difficult thing about your faith or most challenging to follow?" There's nothing difficult about following what Jesus, the Holy Spirit, or GOD want - it's believing the humans in leadership. I see no reason to follow the whims of man - when Jesus said the opposite of what a human says - I will do what Jesus tells me. If it sets off my alarm of being wrong I will not listen to humans. The hardest for me is a sermon about forcing people to do this or that against what is decent - I leave if I can, I boil and roll my eyes I know the priest sees this.
The most challenge I have is not being excommunicated for distrusting and indifference to human leadership. I won't hate or kill because a priest - even the Pope - tells me to. Finding a human in leadership that is not corrupt would be wonderful.
Sorry to babble, Peace.

Greatest " opposition " ? My own self when I experience " fears " or doubts. I'm respecting of all faiths, religions and temples...yet I'm of no " church "...I'm simply spiritual. Yet...still, that is the only " opposition " I come across. I work past moments as those quickly and well enough though.

As far as any " oppositions " from any others ? The rare occasions I might experience that...I'm not affected by it as I don't feel ' opposed ' upon. Whatever opposing they might have...I leave them to peace with that thought...as it is theirs...and peace to them. We are all one anyway...all on our own journeys of the same Light.

My decision to abandon Christianity was much more difficult, and done in the face of more opposition, than my becoming a Christian fifteen years earlier.

It cost a lot.

Probably what others might think of my religion...sometimes it is hard to defend something, when what others are saying...
is the truth...there is alot of things I do not know about being a Christian...and I really do intend to find out the answers in the next month...the questions others on here ask are valid questions, and they really make me think, and some of them I can't even answer...That is what I intend to find out... Greatest opposition - ignorant individuals whose misconception of my religion colors their perception to the point of discrimination and harassment.

Most difficult thing - not wishing ill on the ignorant individuals whose misconception of my religion colors their perception to the point of discrimination and harassment.

Fortunately, the only opposition I have faced, thus far, is what I have encountered here in R&S and similar situations.
