Nope never, and most likely never will. Amnesty is more or less saying, we give up, we can not doing anything about it so we give up. The 1986 amnesty, and very few took us up on it, I have heard some say, that the illegal aliens at that time thought it was a trick, they thought the government just wanted them to come in, and then find a reason to deport them. But we must all keep this in mind, amnesty is rewarding law breakers. No amnesty, No reform.

No. Now you answer this question. Are there any instances in American History where mass deportations and extreme restrictions have worked for the benefit of Americans?

Nope.. they were given amnesty around 20 years ago... The President promised it was a one time thing and would never happen again... he promised they were going to pass laws and enforce them and our illegal immigration problem would never be that bad again... here we are 20 years later and there are millions of them protesting in our streets for rights- yep the amnesty worked didn't it

I have a better question.....

Are there any instances in American history when the government found, arrested and deported 13 million people?

The only answer is amnesty.

No, but if Bush would grant amnesty to our soldiers in Iraq who have been accused of war crimes it would help keep our soldiers alive. Many of our troops have been killed because the rules of engagement make them afraid to defend themselves. In some cases the rules say our soldiers cannot shoot unless they have already been shot. That's a bit too late.

No. Amnesty is an admission by the government that it can not do it's job!

This would take an opinion answer.

The government ends up having to pay the now citizens more in benefits then they receive in taxes.

So it puts a drain on other Americans who pay higher taxes.

- Amnesty saved, saves or will save deportation expenses..
- It enables illegals to pay their own tax and not live on others taxes'...
