I recently had spyware removed from my computer. all is ok now but it has left a small flashing icon in bar at bottom right hand of screen. Is it possible to delete this from system. thank you...john

Could be the AntiSpyware program loaded in the Taskbar.
Go to start, click run, type msconfig, click startup tab and check for any programs that you're unsure of. You can remove them from startup by unchecking items in this list. I'd recommend one at a time so you can be sure of what changes you've made. You may need to shut down the program uninstall from the Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.
However, if this is antispyware protection program I'd probably keep it installed :)

hii'm bill,in this world everything is possible.i take it that you have tried right click and delete,if not then do try it.if you have then try. start>control panel>performance&maintenance>system restore :go back to a time that was a safe time or before you downloaded the affending program. good luck.

could you explain what the icon says? i need more info. What does it say if you hover over it?
