"This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him to day, and we will eat my son to morrow. So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him." 2 Kings 6:28-29

Did you bother reading the entire Chapter in order to understand the context?

Actually, it means what it says, some lady did do this, ewww.

If you read the story, it shows how there was a famine in Samaria due to King Aram surrounding them to make war. One of the tactics used back then, since they couldn't scale the wall, was simply to blockade any food coming and going.

So the King of Israel was walking on the wall, and this lady walks up and tells him this verse you quoted. She is angry and wants justice because they ate her kid, but when it came time to eat her neighbor's child, the neighbor hid the kid.

The King was so disgusted and distraught that his people had come to this, that he literally flung off his robes to the point everyone saw his underwear (a big no-no then).

Read the whole tale. It's about a famine so severe that cannabalism was begun. It's about the horror of that. It's about the king trying to blame the prophet Elisha for the people's extremity. It's about the Lord saying, "Oh no, you don't! It's not Elisha's fault that you people are misbehaving so badly that I have to send a famine just to get your attention." It's a moral tale about just how deep in dark-brown doo-doo people can get when they refuse the Lord.
Whether or not it has historicity in the sense that we mean, is moot. Irrelevant. The point of the tale is: Listen to God. Do it His way and all will be well with you. Sc**w up and you're gonna get in trouble, big time!

This is the God of Moses, influencing him, the God of Moses is Satan. Compare Moses and the Prophets to Enoch

In the Time from Enoch to Jacob and his 12 Sons, compared to the time of Moses until Jesus, look at all the violence and blood shed caused by Moses and all those that came after him.

Satan tempted everyone just as he tempted Jesus.

No, it means exactly what it says. It is important to remember, however, that not everything recorded in the bible is approved by the bible.
