The laws to which you refer allowed a person caught in adultery, or an adult child who was refusing to care for his parents in their old age to be taken before a court of law in Israel, and charged. If found guilty, the court could impose a sentence including the death penalty.

As the Old Testament Law is no longer in use in Israeli courts (or anywhere else), it is no longer possible to try people under that law.

Plus once the Law was fulfilled by the death of Christ, it was no longer in force, and the government that use to have the power was shut down in 70AD.

So in according with the scriptures (read the book of Hebrews for the full explanation) Christian have not "recently" (or at any time since the cross) been involved in the stoning of adulterers or disobedient children. To do so what be against the complete word of God.

When you only read part of the book, you come up with pointless questions like this. When you read the whole book, you have all the answers.

Son, stoning people is illegal (not to be confused with being stoned, but that is also illegal) in the United States. It does not matter if it was a societal norm and used by the Jews, Muslims, Pagans and others in ancient times, it is not done now.

He who is without error can cast the first stone....pretty much ended that.

Christians have never stoned anyone to death, that was done back in the Old Testament Times, while under the Law.

Scriptural references, as requested:

Lev 20: 9 For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

Lev 20:10 And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

you should at least have listed a scripture reference, if you really want a good response, you'll have to do a little research.
