You have to get a third party involved, whether it be a doctor, counselor, of expert on the subject. My mom was just hospitilized last year for paranoia and attempted suicide so I went through a lot of similar stuff. Hope everything goes well, you can email me if you have any other questions.

You make an appointment and talk to their doctor. Or talk to an older family member - is there an aunt or uncle around that you could discuss it with? Depending on how severe the mental health crisis is, you can get legal intervention if necessary, but that is absolutely the last step. Call a mental health counsellor and ask for advice. It's hard to be specific because 'mental health' could reflect anything from Alzheimer's to paranoia.

if they dont want to talk about it then you got to respect their choice. BUT then, saying that its about their mental health, it could be crucial meaning it can result to something that can never be cured or stopped.

You could probably drop lines of topics that is relevant to what they are suffering and then maybe with this a conversation will initiate and then maybe you can talk to them about their problem.

You can also tell them how worried you are for them, be affectionate as you can be. =) This would touch their hearts.

If they are not the affectionate type..then try to do number 1.

I was in a similar situation.
It's called the Baker Act. If they act violently against you, I would probably dial 911 and don't let them see you dialing. the police will come to the door and will force them to a hospital for 3 days for "mental evaluation". They will be " Baker Acted."

I would like to talk to her but When I try she just gets mad so I just try to be there for her, and do waht I can for her. Just watch them and do your best I know its not easy Cause I am living it.

Do they have a physician that you can speak too? I would suggest calling their doctor and telling them of your concerns. Sometimes people have a tendency to listen to someone outside of the family.
Hope this helps

You need to talk to a counselor in your school or someone in your church. This is a very delicate situation, try to talk to a family member that knows what is going on.
