This Q gets asked quite often, & the answer is :
"they all get sold eventually".

I've been selling them since 1983 & never seen any NOT get sold.

But then, I sell a very popular brand, so maybe there are some ugly, less popular vehicles that never find an owner & I've just never seen it happen...LOL

They are passed on to the next dealership and some odd pieces that somehow appear jinxed and don't get sold despite all kind of lures to sell them off are gifted away to unsuspecting customers as prizes in some hoax contests, since the manufacturers do not want them back in their yards!

Everything will get sold, eventually. They can offer discounts, and there are a lot people who are not looking for the last fad or the latest model but just want a new car, cheap with all warranty.

Most of them wind up at wholesale auction, where the dealer hopes and prays that he'll at least get his cost back on them. They are then sold by the purchasing dealer as new because they've never been titled.

They ALL get sold eventually. The dealer will discount them low enough to sell when necessary

They don't all get sold. They get sent back to the manufacturer and they scrap them or destroy them. Sounds illogical, but it's true, but I can't remember where I read this from.
