The description you've painted of a Special Pioneer is is skewed Scott. I have a close family member who served as a special pioneer, and it is insulting to hear your ludicrous scenarios. When you accept the invitation to become a special pioneer it is NOT because you have met an hourly quota, quantity is of no import, quality is what we're after. Special pioneers avail themselves to be used wherever their needed, they truly exemplify a spirit of self-sacrifice. I have no Idea about the whole "vow of poverty", I can check into it. I would guess though it may differ from State to State, or Countries for that matter. Why do you feel the need to twist the truth to paint JW's in a bad light? Your scenario, is really not realistic, if a Special Pioneer gets in a position where they would accrue a lot of debt, it seems that they would come off the list, and as regards to feeding their children...I've yet to meet a Special Pioneer that has kids. You really need to quit visiting apostate websites. Gather your own information . . . has it gotten so bad that you can't come up with your own questions? **Edit** You wrote and I quote: ". . . they turn in time sheets to the elders, which are then collected and forwarded to those higher up the chain. The desirable position (rank) is a “special pioneer.”" This statement wrongly implies that the privelage of SP is rewarded based on the amount of hours spent in the ministry, this is not the case. It is true that one who becomes a special pioneer will need to be able to meet the hourly requirement of 140 hrs. The main thing though, is that a potential SP would need is a deep love of neigbor, and a willing spirit. **2nd Edit** I hope you don't think that I called you a Liar, I simply find your scenerios UNREALISTIC, but are you telling me that you did your own leg work on Special Pioneers? If so major props! You managed to dig up an Apostate favorite all on you own, how long did it take you to find the 'Oregon Case'? **3rd Edit** Well I stay confused, so is the question: Are reg. pioneers assisited by the Governing Body when facing financial dificulty? Because I could swear that I've answered that for you before. Maybe I'll dig through my answers and try to find it . . . Couldn't find it, maybe Tron/Tobias/Poto had it deleted : )

(2 Peter 3:3) . . .For YOU know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires

(Luke 18:32) . . .For instance, he will be delivered up to [men of] the nations and will be made fun of and be treated insolently and spit upon. . .

* For the commentor who brought out the scripture in James 3:11, that is a good scripture, but you seem to be out of context. That scripture and that chapter is James encouraging the ones there to have control of their speech. That entire book of James is great because it gives such fine counsel for us all to follow. James was bringing out to those in the congregations there in that latter chap of James 3 that they had begun to use their tounges in an unwise manner and their cravings were causing fights among them.

We should all take to point this counsel and apply it in our lives so we don't have a bitter speech manner and appear sour to others.

For the lady that used to be a sis for 16 years, please don't discourage our faithful one. You know that Jehovah can read hearts and doesn't want anyone to lose their life. He makes the ultimate decison.

For the sis with the question, id ask some of the pioneers in your hall what schedule works best with them. Thats the best way to get a good answer about pioneering, is ask them! :o)

The best schedule is the one that works for you.

Curious that you asked this question and "Question about masturbation?" Makes it difficult to believe you.

if you are a Jehovah Witnesses you would know the best schedule to be a pioneer. we are not a cult as people keep saying. and we don't wear black skirts. mormon's wear black and one the young boys go door to door.

It depends on your own personal schedule. Not everyone's schedule is the same, so you'll probably have to figure this one out on your own. Best wishes on pioneering!

It really depends on your schedule-
And if some or 1 of the sister(s) are also, available.
I find it easier, to get w/ the sisters , sit n work out a schedule, together.

It greatly depends on your own life. I found that Wednesdays and Saturdays were great for long days.

Perhaps both these questions should be addressed with mature brothers in your congregation.
