Welcome Maggy, just like any other kind of people there are good gifted mediums and bad con artistes out there. Use your own intuition to find a good one.

If you make it your intent to find a good honest one who can help you, one will present themselves.

PS you need a bit of a thicker skin to be on this site but it is interesting.

The bible clearly states not to contact those that claim to speak to the dead and if you believe in spirts then I guess you should believe in the bible. However, if those that say they can talk with the dead were for real then you would think that they could gain more useful information and there would be no doubt as it would be proved beyond doubt, but as it stands it has not. Most of the old famous mediums have been proved fake and I for one don't believe in them as what they say is too general. Dont do it.

As you see, Maggie, a question about mediumship riles a lot of people on here.

No, they're not all frauds, but you really do need to be careful because many of them are.
I, too, would advise you to keep an eye out for Pangel. She, I believe, is sincere and trustworthy.

Just one word of advice, if I may. I would not contact a psychic for any mundane matter. Only for important stuff. And NEVER take what ANYBODY says without applying some discernment. (And that includes me, of course).

There may be some that are, however, anyone who is in the business is most likely a fraud (e.g silvia brown) and just in it for the money.

Many mediums are just very good at reading people from a psychological point of view. I can read tarot cards for someone and make them fit somehow that is relavent for their life. I can read the expressions off of someone face, use what they tell me to give general common sense solutions and whatnot.

Nope, haven't done it but don't recommend it. I don't know what the Jewish believe but Muslims and Christians both believe even if you were told something or heard your relatives voice (or whomever) it is likely untruthful or though the info could be true, it is likely coming from the darkside and most likely with bad intentions. I very much believe that in most cases it is going to be the evil you will be working with. Now, maybe not that guy on tv, maybe he is getting good info...;) but anyway, try to come to terms with whatever happened and move on, that is my recomendation. Good Luck.

No. There's no such thing.

By the way, here's what I'm getting about you:

Some of your aspirations tend to be pretty unrealistic. At times you are extroverted, affable, sociable, while at other times you are introverted, wary and reserved. You have found it unwise to be too frank in revealing yourself to others. You pride yourself on being an independent thinker and do not accept others' opinions without satisfactory proof. You prefer a certain amount of change and variety, and become dissatisfied when hemmed in by restrictions and limitations. At times you have serious doubts as to whether you have made the right decision or done the right thing. Disciplined and controlled on the outside, you tend to be worrisome and insecure on the inside.

Your sexual adjustment has presented some problems for you. While you have some personality weaknesses, you are generally able to compensate for them. You have a great deal of unused capacity which you have not turned to your advantage. You have a tendency to be critical of yourself. You have a strong need for other people to like you and for them to admire you.

They are all con-merchants who prey on vulnerable, mixed up people - often those who are so eager to be "controlled" by others that they will find many ways to believe or read in to what the mystic says.

Update: Seeing I've been given a run of thumbs down for my answer... I just want to add... anyone who even slightly believes in pyschics/mediums/horoscopes... has the disease of mystism. It is a disease of the mind as you can never have pure clarity of mind or confidence in your own decisions, or in cause and effect. Mystisim is one of the worst things you can pollute your mind with.
