God does not command hindus in hinduism. He asks to do some things for better life. He also gives options like, you can reach god by good karma or devotion. So, due to options and lot of freedom, it is not necessary to go for pilgrimage. However, some believe that pilgrimage to Khasi, holy place for hindus is compulsury, again its an option for many.

Lazarus, dont just throw your stupid opinion. If I got to make a comment, you have no place to hide yourself.

God in His Supreme Form(Para brahmam) is said inHindu Mythology is said to have appeared in the form of Light (Jyothir Lingam) in 12 places-Somanataham-Raaamesam-Viswanatham-Vaidya naatham,-Bheema Sankaram-Mallikaarjunam etc. A devout Hindu is advised to visit those 12 places and 12 sacred Rivers(Theertha Yaatra) before 60 th year.People who have enough money visit those places.People who are poor are alternatively advised to visit the temple in their village and take bathin the river nearer to their village and recite a verse "Souraashtre Somanathamcha--Srisaile Mallikarjunam-Raamesam Sethu Bandhethu- Vaaranaasyam Visvesam etc"

Moot point bro. Hinduism is a false religion and a waste of time. God is waiting for you to accept Jesus. If this is a school assignment, stand up for Jesus and tell the truth: that Hinduism is superstition.
