the real subject was "interest in eternal life". Very few so far even went there, just bashed the faith with childlike responses. Never mind.

A deal from a non-existent charlatan is no deal at all.

I'd take it if it was on offer, I just don't believe its a genuine offer.

Do you treat all the scam-olas in spam folder as genuine too??
Eg. Yes I also would like to earn ten thousand dollars a week, in a data-entry job - yet for some mysterious reason I don't reply to all these emails from Mr Scam Spammer.

We Atheist would be interested in eternal life, but it is figment of imagination of the religious mind. We like to stick with reality and not with wishful fantasy.

In the old testament, "God" was not that nice of a creature. Actually, he was pretty mean. Didn't he kill all but Noah and his family and 2 of every animal? I don't think that's very nice!
I think athiests have the better deal. How do you know "heaven" won't be just like hell or just like earth? He could have people up there in chains doing slave labor. I don't trust him. I would rather be in non-existence than take the gamble on that one!

On principle, atheists have no interest in eternal life simply because they don't believe in it.

And it does pay to shop around on afterlife deals. Buddhism has a "have one good life, get another free" deal.

The moment you say, "Atheist," you're bringing faith into question, so stop whining that we're bashing your beleifs. Or don't ask!

What deal are we passing up? Being Atheist means that we don't buy into any of the things religion (Christian or otherwise) promises. If you don't trust a salesman, you don't buy his product. Simple as it gets.

Eternal life is associated with religion. Atheists don't associate with a religion and therefore don't believe in eternal life. According to them, life ends when we die.

"Eternal life" is a bribe and "eternal punishment" is a threat. Both are clumsy, obvious attempts at converting the gullible while simultaneously insulting their intelligence.

You're passing the best deal going - from Horus or Mithras

your jesus claims to offer the same deal, but he's not the original, so something is very suspicious there.

Very true. Also not much interest in the Tooth Fairy and the easter Bunny.

Well I wouldn't buy the Brooklyn Bridge either. There is no deal, only a promise that isn't real.

And no, I wouldn't want to live forever.
