Simple answer:

If you asked an atheist this question they'll respond by giving you a definition of atheist and agnostic.

agnostic: someone who doesn't believe in God or gods but believes in the possibility.

atheist: someone who doesn't have an opinion on God or gods one way or the other. Being an atheis isn't a belief. They don't say they don't believe in God or gods, they just say they don't care enough one way or the other. If you want to get really technical the word "atheist" then gets broken down into subcategories of strong- or hard- atheists and weak- or soft- atheists. The difference in degree is that strong atheists actually take a stance against God or gods whereas weak atheists don't care about the issue at all.

In reality your question is valid because atheists and agnostics can't disprove God one way or the other. Of course they'll say it's hard to prove a universal negative which is correct. The best way to approach this topic is to try to show them compelling evidence of your faith and let the chips fall where they may.

I hope this answered your question and helps.

Yes but atheists think that they know that there is no God, the same as believers think that they know that there is a God. However, in both cases they do not really know. The definition of knowledge, according to the tripartite theory, is 'justified true belief'. You must have a strong conviction that your strong belief is justified, the justification must be logical...but the truth part is problematic in both the case of the believer and the ...not non-believer, as that suggests agnosticism...we shall say believer in no God. The reason, as you so rightly point out, is that neither position is actually verifiable.

So that's a round-about way of saying I agree with you. Agnosticism is the only logical position to take.

Atheist just means lack of belief in a god. An agnostic is just a subclassification of atheist. Neither agnostics or atheists are believers.

No, atheists are ATHEISTS, because they think its impossible that some entity created the whole universe and humans from a pile of dirt while we have no evidence that this entity exists. They are sure that it doesn't exist. So, using the same type of logic as you use, believers cant prove there is a "god" without quoting their bible, so they are agnostics.

Exactly my factor im an atheist and i will end up there's no god however cant be bthered to variety all of it out however you'll move and browse my closed questions it's going to let you know the whole lot i believe approximately it! And sure atheists can end up God isnt truly and christians personally have alot much less evidence than we do there complete faith is established on lies that any individual wrote down when you consider that they desired to get wealthy!! (the bible) There complete faith is simply established on religion however you cant place confidence in some thing that you haven't any evidence that it ever existed!! I love this query when you consider that it's so actual atheists are ready to take delivery of others perspectives on faith however why are devout persons reminiscent of christians on no account inclined to take delivery of our perspectives!!! They are on no account performed looking to shove faith down our throats evn on a saturday taking place town is a nightmare with preachers attempting to transform every body it's so traumatic when you consider that no longer every body desires to listen to approximately it and in the event that they desire to evangelise they must hold forth in a church on a sunday in spite of everything it's "gods location" and "gods best day of leisure" My fine pal is a christian and no longer even she will take delivery of my perspectives but i take delivery of her perspectives!

They were passing through hyperspace.

"The Babel fish," said The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy quietly, "is small, yellow and leech-like, and probably the oddest thing in the Universe. It feeds on brainwave energy not from its carrier but from those around it. It absorbs all unconscious mental frequencies from this brainwave energy to nourish itself with. It then excretes into the mind of its carrier a telepathic matrix formed by combining the conscious thought frequencies with nerve signals picked up from the speech centres of the brain which has supplied them. The practical upshot of all this is that if you stick a Babel fish in your ear you can instantly understand anything said to you in any form of language. The speech patterns you actually hear decode the brainwave matrix which has been fed into your mind by your Babel fish.

"Now it is such a bizarrely improbable coincidence that anything so mindboggingly useful could have evolved purely by chance that some thinkers have chosen to see it as the final and clinching proof of the non-existence of God.

"The argument goes something like this: `I refuse to prove that I exist,' says God, `for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing.'

"`But,' says Man, `The Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don't. QED.'

"`Oh dear,' says God, `I hadn't thought of that,' and promptly vanished in a puff of logic.

"`Oh, that was easy,' says Man, and for an encore goes on to prove that black is white and gets himself killed on the next zebra crossing."

SADLY WE HAVE NO SUCH PROOF IN GOD'S NO EXISTENCE, IF ONLY THE REAL GOD COULD GIVE US A SIGN TO PROVE HIS NON-EXISTENCE!

It doesn't matter if they CAN or CANNOT prove that God is there or not. It's a matter of their belief whether God is out there.

Atheists just outright deny His existence.

Agnostics believe He could be out there, but don't see enough proof to either confirm nor deny His presence.

Atheist are Atheist because they do not belief in gods.
That why we are called Atheist and not Agnostic.

By your argument, then , fundamentalists of every religion are agnostics, because they can't prove there is a god. This will not sell well, I predict.

Where do you place those who aren't sure whether there is a god, but devoutly believe that worshiping one is a bad idea?

No, atheists let the evidence lead them to a conclusion. There is no evidence that would lead anyone to logically conclude there is a god, or that there is any entity with god-like powers. Agnostics, for whatever reason, are somewhat hedging their bets. They need to step up and commit to the idea of no god whatsoever.
