2. Marriage equality.
3. We wouldn't invade foreign countries because "God" told someone to.
4. End the death penalty
5. Universal healthcare

(4 and 5 aren't directly related to theocracy, but religious people seem to have problems with them...)

1 Reevaluate our legal system and make the punishment for crime too horrible for people so people would think before commiting a crime. Make prisons that only have solitary confinement, no outside contact, room and board only, school for prisoners. The prisons now have every extra that society can provide, so how much of a deterent is that?

2.Criminal sentensing should be based on the crime committed and it should have a monetary value. Each prisoner should have to serve a sentense that they would have to pay back to society. Say each day in prison is worth a $1.00 per day. Going to school say $5. Good grades etra money. Return the value of work to the prison system and teach that work is better than crime.

3. Separation of Church and State laws be policed and not allowed to be ignored.

4. Laws dealing with hate speech and the teaching of hatred be better policed and stiff sentencing be applied.

5. Change election laws to allow candidates from all walks of life to run. Limit terms, pay and provide housing. Get rid of lobbying. Encourage voters to get more invelved with elections by requiring a vote of confidence after say 6 mos. in office if candidate isn't living up to their campaigne promises.

It think that you can get the idea...

1, return to a basis of Freedom of religion, which would include freedom from religion.

2, remove all religion form the government

3, make all marriages into Civil Unions as far as government rules are concerned. (your church or faith can call the union whatever they want to)

4, bring back the old (sweet) McDonalds BBQ sauce and get rid of that Chipolte crap

5, Wendy's would be required to make larger burgers than Burger King.

the last 2 can be silly because the first 2 solve all of the gay marriage/abortion/stem cell research problems.

Seriously don't know if I could come up with five--honestly, UPHOLDING the legal foundations this country is already founded on would in itself be a huge change, and a huge improvement.

No more disallowing people from taking office just for being atheist, as is stated in several state constitutions.

No more "In God We Trust" on money--that violates the separation of church and state.

(this may be true already, I don't know) Add anti-atheist to the things that can make a violent/etc. crime more severe (sentence-wise) when it comes to hate crime.

I'll edit this if I think of anything else. We atheists don't really ask for much...
