Start Menu, Settings

at bottom of your screen you will see a blue bar
this is called a task bar
you will see green start button
click on start
you will see control panel
click it
choose your options
go slow
mostly in add remove programs
do nothing you can not reverse

Okay, go to "Shortcut to My Computer", click on the addres bar part, then click "Control Panel" and you're good to go.
