Please brethren, do not let traditions of men answer this question for you. I understand that this is part of faith that you believe, but I ask you to be true to your self, and do not blindly believe "it has been said" and believe "but I say unto you" -----------1. Was it Jesus who said "all scripture is inspired by God. ? ----- 2. Was it someone else ?

Many of you quote "Paul" in II Timothy 3-15-17. ----- Did you not read what Jesus said concerning His Words ----- And others quote Isiah, did you not read what Jesus said concerning Isiah
-------- But none quoted Jesus, even though Jesus forewarned you.

I read this first in the bible - 2 Timonthy 3:16 - in one of the letters written among believers after the ascension of Jesus to heaven.
I've though a long time about this, it was not recorded as being said by Jesus, but it carries a weight of truth. A lot of confusion and controversy has followed as a result of misunderstanding this verse. People often forget that the bible as we know it did not exist when those words were written, so what did the writer mean when he wrote that?
Scripture is writings about God. And inspiration is that which motivates a person to do something (such as write). So if a person is writing about God, isn't that writing scripture? And aren't they inspired by God? So I think everything even this question and these answers are scripture and are inspired by God.

This reasoning takes away the simplistic idea that there is only one set of scripture, and beckons us to consider all writings about God, and to think critically about everything we read.

There are a few standard scriptural texts that are always trotted out to support the idea, e.g. 2 Tm 3:16: "All scripture, inspired of God, is profitable to teach, to reprove, to correct, to instruct in justice." In other words, they believe in the divine inspiration of The Book because The Book tells them to believe in it.

Were you expecting the answer NOT to involve circular reasoning?

It was Paul in his second letter to Timothy.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.

2. someone else in the Scriptures (might be the book of 1st Peter)

it must be admitted; we have misinterpreted here and there . . . the same scriptures say to test everything . . .

we have to stand ready to have an answer (also stated in the scriptures)

brethren? did you call me brethren? and why? are you a believer?

It was the Apostle Paul.

The Bible is complete, authoritative, and true. "All Scripture is 'God breathed' (given of inspiration of God) and is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, instruction in righteousness..." (2 Timothy 3:16).

I do not know what you mean when you say "all scriptures." I know about the Bible was inspired by Him. I have one question, if some people don't believe it was by Jesus, some people don't even believe he existed, what do people question Him so much?

Why don't you question the "existence of aliens?" It is just my thought. and my point of view, which I don't try to eradicate to others.

My proof comes from 35 years of indepth study. If you want extensive proof, you would have to read one or both of the following books.

The Bible being the Word of God can be proved through the vehicle of prophecy. To see the evidence of this, we must first establish the fact that God is a spirit who dwells outside of our physical time domain--that is, in eternity. In the Bible, God describes Himself in Isaiah 57:15,

"For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: 'I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit.'"

If God dwells in the realm of eternity as the Bible states, then He must be able to declare future events as if they had happened in the past. We who live in the physical restraints of time and space have the disadvantage of seeing the world according to a timeline. But God sees the past and the future as one complete picture.

"Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure,'" Isaiah 46:9-10

So through the vehicle of prophecy, God throws down the gauntlet to all the other "holy books" and all the other "gods" that dare to claim the title. The God of the Bible challenged in Isaiah 41:22-23,

"Let them bring forth and show us what will happen; let them show the former things, what they were, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare to us things to come. Show the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that you are gods; yes, do good or do evil, that we may be dismayed and see it together."

OK, there is the challenge from the God of the Bible. No other book contains prophecy that has been fulfilled with accuracy. See studies below.

The humans who wrote scripture were the ones who said it was inspired by god because they wanted people to believe what they wrote.
