If you are single, not a dependent, don't have any dependents, and take the standard deduction and don't have any adjustments or credits, you federal tax liablility on $4004 per month for 2006 would have been $6451,or
$538 per month. You'll also pay $306 a month for social security and medicare. If you live somewhere that has a state and/or local income tax, that will be additional.

Are you paid monthly, twice a month, weekly or bi-weekly.
The state you are in and if you pay local taxes also.
