I wouldn't be expecting an answer. Don't put your life on hold while waiting on a pipe dream.

Record companies get inundated with hundreds, maybe even thouand of demos everyday, so it's higly unlikely you will get a reply.

The best thing to do is start entering music competitions, perform in clubs/pubs. That sort of stuff. Maybe create a myspace music account and this way you can meet people already in the music industry and make contacts, whilst gaining 'underground' publicity.

Afterall, it's not what you know but who you know that will get you into this industry. Good luck!

First answer may be correct.
Did the people know you were sending the Demo?
Many times you may need an experienced agent who know people and can get a foot in the door, so to say.

Probably forever - most amateur and unsolicited demos don't even get listened to, they just get thrown out.

-what kind of music the person reviewing it likes
