There are some websites that offer free sample music, or free indie music, usually just one or two songs. Also websites that offer public domain music and movies for free, usually these are very old. You can google for these (too many to list).
However, if you want free current music and/or free current movies, then the only way you can get them is by doing it illegally, whether via filesharing websites or P2P programs, and that I cannot help you with.
