You see, alot of these people are recommending vehicles they currently drive. Ford, Saturn, etc? First off, in my line of profession I get to drive atleast 40-50 different cars everyday from $170,000 Bentley Continental and S-class Benz's to $10,000 Chevy Aveo's. I get to see which in my opinion who makes good cars or better for lack of choice of words. IMO, i see alot of the GM, Fords, Dodge really just make some bland and CHEAP stuff. Don't get me wrong my next car is going to be a domestic its just that in their low-end vehicles it REALLY IS LOW_END! Alot of time these cars will still have the new car smell but i can point out a few minor things that are already going bad or is bad. What your looking for i dont know i need a little more info from you and i could help you out a bit more. The best interior are handsdown made by germans. so any used BMW 3 series will fit under 30k. Plus reliability is descent BUT with maintenece will be expensive so get a good warranty. Also pretty much anything from toyota like a tacoma or maybe a camry...with great care these vehicles could probably out live you. and im not joking.hahahhah. Also, sweedish brand Volvo makes good reliable cars now and there some of the safest in the industry...really your choices are endless. Bmw 3series,Toyota Tacoma/Lexus,Volvo S40, Honda Accord, Oh and a C5 corvette. far from being reliable but hey a muscle car with looks that can still get 30-31MPG or 28MPG conservatively(govt. rated at 28*) I just reccomend stay away from any of the car makes low end stuff like corolla, civic, cobalts, neons, etc. you really do get what you pay for. Really my question is, are you looking for best, luxury car, sports car, suv/truck, best economical car, etc? its pretty hard to say.ohhh but if you are still looking, try to find something a year or two old to save money and just buy an extended warranty. My two cents.

I would get a 0-3 year old car from the following list:
2014-15 Jeep Cherokee- you can get a beautiful fully loaded brand new for $30k + tax!
2011-12 BMW M3- you may end up with an older model with dated looks and interior but they are a pure joy to drive! And lovely sounding engine
2012-13 Mercedes Benz C300: style, luxury, and performance all in one compact package!
2014 Volkswagen Passat: this car is exceptional in all areas and gives you a lot for ur buck!
Also you could buy 2 Toyota Corollas for $30,000 if you can negotiate but they would be manual transmission and the base model!

I had a Scion TC and it was the most problems I've ever had with a car .. after 1 year it needed a new transmission - mind you that I bought it BRAND NEW .. after 2 years the check engine light came on and it was making funky noises under the hood .. I now own a 2007 Altima 3.5 SL ... man I would never settle for a 4 cylinder or 2 door AGAIN. Also with the Scion insurance people charged me and considered that car a sports car .. so i was paying almost $400 amonth JUST for insurance!!! .. With my altima its $100 a month which is great! .... I would so reccomend the new altima's to ANYONE.

You can get a fully-loaded Scion TC if that's the type of car you're looking for. If not, you can find a lot of 4-door cars such as a Chevy Cobalt for less than that.

Look at the Buick Lucerne. Big, roomy, luxurious.
Really, almost any domestic car, except for the big loaded SUVs, can be had for under $30k.
What type of car do you want? Sedan, convertible, SUV, crossover, sports car?

any ford model, except for the shelby mustangs and ford gt's. almost all their models have prices ranging from 14,000-32,000 except for the expedition which is 30,000-43,000. ford has improved a lot on their 2007 models than their junky 2006 and older models. ford now is on par with toyota and nissan with reliability. yay! and most of their models get decent to good gas mileage, except for the expedition. check out these cars here:http://www.fordvehicles.com/?referrer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Eford%2Ecom%2Fen%2Fdefault
