Are you familiar with floppy disks?
The round disks are called CDs.
They come as CD/R, CD/RW, etc.

CD/RW means you can read and write to it and from it.
They are used in place of floppies as they hold much more data.
In order to use a CD like a floppy, you must:
1. use CD/RWs
2. they must first be formatted by the program which powers your burner.

I used to use them this way until flashdrives became available. If you have USB ports on yor computer, I would suggest you buy a flashdrive. They have come way down in price, and all you have to do is plug it in and go. Only one caution, when you take it out, do not bypass the "safely remove hardware" procedure. (There should be a button on the bottom right of your computer to safely remove.) This will ensure that all files are closed and that the computer knows you have removed this particular flashdrive and will accept either the same flashdrive or a new one.

If you do not "safely remove" (at least on my computer) and plug in a different one, it is not recognized and you have to reinsert the first one and go through "safely remove."

Just so you know.

this circle disk is called compact disk CD-R,,, you must have a recording software to record (save) the picture on it,,, if this CD is CD-RW,, you can save it directly as floppy disk
