if you are undereating there is a chance you lost water weight and muscle in the beginning and not fat and now when your body addapted to so little calories (slower metabolism) it can work sufficiently on those and even manage to store some fat.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Actually 1200 calories is perfectly fine for a woman trying to lose weight. But it is not advised that you go below that. Actually don't go below that. With eating a 1200 calorie diet and exercising you should be losing the fat but an occasional increase of 1 to 2 pounds occasionally is normal. You should get a scale that reads more than just weight. If you can't find one try to find a location such as a weight loss clinic that can weigh your muscle water and actual fat. You can also check out your BMI that is a better way to tell what is actually going on! Don't get discouraged your doing fine and you'll notice more of a change in the long run! Take your measurements and don't weigh yourself so much your body will change depending on what going on with you!

First of all, your obsessing.
Second, 1200 calories a day isn't enough. If you starve your bodyyou won't lovse weight as quickly. Your body will go into starvation mode and your metabolism will slow down.
Third, When you work out, you are likely to gain weight because muscle weighs more than fat. Don't weight yourself right after a workout either. Muscles can retain water after workouts which will cause you to be heavier. Weigh in the morning before you have had anything yo eat. This is the closest to your actual weight.

You said it....extreme exercise and dieting. Well, the body doesn't take to well to extremes. First, I doubt that 1200 calories is enough for you. Have you even bothered to look up how many calories you need to function, let alone complete your 'extreme' exercise? This is very important. If you are not taking in the right amount of calories, you will lose weight, but not a drop of fat. I guess this is satisfactory to some people, but the goal with this is to lose as much fat as you can, so you are in a healthy body fat range. Check out your caloric intake, then take a fresh look at your workout routine. Be sure to work out smarter, and not harder.
