Is there a home made concotion I can make & put in a spay bottle to keep them running opposite way? Thank You

Pepper spray works with most dogs except for the few really determined ones. Please do not listen to people who tell you to try to be nice and walk a cartain way. It may work with some dogs, but you will get eaten by others if you try that with them. YOU are invading THEIR property, they will defend it. Get the pepper spray.

You don't need a spray, and a spray isn't going to necessarily deter a dog that really wants to get you.
You need to walk with confidence, head up, shoulders back.. Don't act like someone that might get bit by a dog, act like the alpha that doesn't need the recognition that others would need.. Don't gun a dog off, look at him, but don't stare, don't show fear, act like someone who isn't afraid to get bit.
Dogs respect people that aren't afraid they don't respect people that are scared.
Edit : Don't put ammonia in a spray bottle.. it will hurt the dog.. If you sprayed my dog with ammonia you would have more to fear than getting bit.. I would be after you..

Problem is there isn't much that will stop a really determined dog (just ask the skunk our Russell killed). I've heard plain ole hair spray... But to be honest, my bro, when doing cold call sales, had the best luck with deep voiced "STOP THAT! YOU'RE BEING BAD!"
ON the opposite note: the fuel oil delivery company in my area issues the drivers dog biskets - one of them told me they have very little dog problem....

why home made when there are so many great commercial spray available? go to a police uniform supply or a military surplus and get some good ole' pepper spray

Mix up some water and Johnson and Johnson Baby Bath or Shampoo that has a funny smell like chamamil, the dogs probably won't like being sprayed and the baby bath won't sting their eyes. Hope this helps :)

have you ever tried to be nice to the dog, if thet never works always to let them remember who is the alpha male. or get a juicy bone tie it around a string when dogs chace you throw i tvery far then reel it back after the delivery.

ammonia in a spray bottle. Won't hurt them but will definately discourage them.
