i dont get it why do i keep getting buffer too large when i start burning data on my new samsung dvd writer...

i have 512md of ram isnt that enough to buffer large files or do i need to increase it more?

also do i need atleast 1Gig on my harddrive so that it can do the mirroring of the file b4 it copies it to the dvd-r?

There are a number things you can try. First, what software program are you using? You can try the free Final Burner (http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/FinalBurner_FREE/1159970809/1). Also, before burning, turn off all non essential software programs. This will free up some RAM. Last, you can increase the size of the virtual memory (try the first 2 suggestions and, should it fail, I can tell you how to increase the virtual memory).
