find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Too determine if you are obese or not, we need to know
a.) Your height
b.) Your build
c.) your amount of muscle.

Typically speaking, if you are of average height, build and muscle mass, you are slightly overweight, not obese. If your sister is the typical 11 year old girl, she is just overweight aswell, near obesity.

Too lose weight, we all know you have to burn more calories then you take in. Keep in mind your body burns over 1000 calories a day, just being alive. Cut what you normally eat in half, substitute junk food for fruits, and get at least 20 minutes of excerises a day, drink plenty of water and you are on your way.

It depends on the height to be honest.
9 stone for an 11 year old is a bit too much though.
Just calculate your BMI and see if you are in the obese range but i highly doubt it.

It depends upon what your height is ... but i doubt either of you are obese... try to maintain a good exercise regime for eg. jogging.... but don't rush into it.... take your time and do a little more everyday... it will help to build your stamina and lose any extra weight if any.
