First decide how much you want to spend...
then decide what you want it to do and what you'll use it for mostly... also consider where you live, if you can't play it loud there's no point in spending money on a wallshaker and if you CAN you want to make sure you don't get a puny system that will blow up the first time you have a party...'If you've answered these questions for yourself, come back and ask for some more advice

Hi.Do you mean you want a complete Home Cinema Surround Sound System. How much are you prepared to spend.Or does it matter. How big is the area for all of the equipment.Do you want a large screen HD TV or a Projector and Screen. How many Loudspeakers do you want.If you could give us some more detail it would make it a lot easier to suggest. We want you to have the best you can afford.
Cheers.

As everyone else has stated you kind of need to know what your budget is and what you're looking for in a TV.
I wouldn't go to Best Buy unless you're looking to spend 5 times more for something you can do yourself.
