how do I choose the best entertainment system for my home?

First decide how much you want to spend...
then decide what you want it to do and what you'll use it for mostly... also consider where you live, if you can't play it loud there's no point in spending money on a wallshaker and if you CAN you want to make sure you don't get a puny system that will blow up the first time you have a party...'If you've answered these questions for yourself, come back and ask for some more advice

How big is the area for all of the equipment.Do you want a large screen HD TV or a Projector and Screen. As everyone else has stated you kind of need to know what your budget is and what you're looking for in a TV.

I wouldn't go to Best Buy unless you're looking to spend 5 times more for something you can do yourself.

a sony xbr3 lcd is the best tv out there..its amazing..

and the klipsh quintet system with the sub woofer is the best deal out there
