It's amazing how many people don't understand the difference between religion, spirituality, philosophy, mythology and folklore.
Greek Gods may well be mentioned here, as they are currently invoked in a number of religions; as are Norse, Irish and other gods and goddesses.
Folklore is about stories that have morals and are used as parables. The Parables that Christ told might well fit in folklore as well as the Bible. The story of the prodigal son is both folklore as well as scripture.
Religion and spirituality are about current theological and thealogical systems of belief. They are about how people relate to their (perceived or real) relationship with divinity. As something happening currently, it is not folklore. Folklore is tales handed down that have a moral lesson as to how to live life; the prodigal son knows that his father will take him back.
Spirituality is a different lesson; God will take one back unconditionally. It is not about this life, but the next.
Your lack of understanding notwithstanding, this place is quite valid. Because you are unable to wrap your had around something does not mean it is not real. I doubt that you can understand quantum physics, but you don't relegate that to mythology. The point is that you condemn without prior investigation. You look at religion and faith with physical eyes, and ignore the evidence that there may be something more.
If you had anything resembling an open mind, you would likely come to the conclusion that while you don't believe, there is not sufficient evidence to disprove what you don't have faith in. In fact, there is a great deal of evidence for something beyond this life. Many scholarly articles have been written regarding reincarnation. Whatever side fo the fence you lean on, (demonic posession, real recall, akashic memory, etc) there is significant memory that some thoughts or memories are being transfered somehow from a once living person to one who is living now. With that alone, some sort of energy must exist that transcends the body. While this may not prove god, it provides reasonable assurance that one cannot simply dismiss anything that we now consider supernatural.
Please don't disgrace yourself by dismissing things simply because you don't understand them.

Thats because you cannot hear the voice of a father that is not yours.
Perhaps you belong in the mythology and folklore section.

No, I don't think you are crazy for asking about the Greco/Roman gods and goddesses. And no, I don't think either one should be in mythology and folklore. If it is about present beliefs, whether yours or someone else's, they belong here.
I use many of the Greco/Roman gods and goddesses to illustrate various divine attributes, as well as those of other cultures. I have invoked both Venus and Minerva in my rituals, as well as some other goddesses. My Steve invoked the gods, and I the goddesses. Or perhaps we should say the other way around: he invoked the goddesses, and I embodied them.

That's the section chosen by many public libraries in modern civilized countries to put the bible and books on the subject.

How could you hope to understand something that can only come after God delivers you from spiritual ignorance. Every person is in the condition you are in until they repent of their sins and ask God to forgive them and cleanse their hearts and minds. 1 Corinthians 2:14 makes it plain, but then you would not be able to appropriately or correctly interpret what it says because your spirit is dead in sin and trespass against God.
When God forgives someone, their spiritual darkness lifts and they begin to see life as it really is. That is why the old hymn says, "I Saw the Light." All who refuse the salvation offered to them are called in scripture "Children of darkness" and all who acknowledge Christ as their Saviour and Lord and Master are called "Children of light."
Likewise the devil is also called the "Prince of darkness" because he has all unbelievers shackled with lies that keep them from seeing truth.
You will surely learn that this is not mythology or folklore, and you will not be able to deny it. That will happen one of two ways. You will repent of your sin and receive salvation before you die, or you will stand face to face with God on the day of judgment spoken of in Revelation 20:11-15 and find out the truth to your great dismay. All your words and mine are now recorded in Heaven for that day. If I am wrong you will be alright - If I am right you will be judged and sentence by a Holy
and Just God who will not tolerate mockery of His Holy Word, His Son or Himself forever.

Your question seems to be the inverse of, "Why are there atheists in the R&S section?" I invite all Christians to have a drink -- my treat.
